Pazmac Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Recertification and Prepares for AS9100 Audit

Pazmac has just obtained recertification of its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) underscoring the company’s sustained commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards. Moving forward, the team is preparing for an upcoming AS9100 audit on November 26, 2025 with the goal of securing certification in January 2026.

During the surveillance audit, Pazmac’s QMS was lauded by auditors for being “exceptionally well-designed, effectively implemented, and consistently maintained,” with praise given to top management engagement, strong documentation practices, traceability, and a proactive approach to risk management.

“Pazmac’s obsession with quality is more than a statement,” says Tim Walls, President, Pazmac. “It is a philosophy embedded in our corporate culture and operational practices. We continue to believe that a parts manufacturer has no business making your parts if they can’t be validated to meet your part specifications.”

The Importance of ISO 9001 Recertification
ISO 9001:2015 is a widely recognized international standard for quality management systems. Organizations certified to ISO 9001:2015 commit to continuously improving processes, ensuring consistent product quality, meeting regulatory requirements, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The recertification indicates that Pazmac has not only maintained but advanced its quality practices over the audit period.

Key benefits of ISO 9001:2015 recertification include:

  • Customer confidence: Pazmac’s clients and OEMs can trust that Pazmac operates under a mature, auditable system of quality controls.
  • Operational discipline: The standard enforces rigor in documentation, process consistency, and risk-based thinking.
  • Continuous improvement: ISO 9001:2015 requires ongoing monitoring, corrective actions, and incremental enhancements, which helps prevent complacency.
  • Global acceptance: Because ISO 9001:2015 is internationally recognized, it smooths many procurement and regulatory hurdles for customers operating globally.

With the recertification, Pazmac continues to operate at a high standard of reliability, traceability, and process control.

AS9100 Certification on the Horizon
While ISO 9001:2015 is a strong foundation, aerospace and high-reliability sectors often demand the more stringent AS9100 standard. AS9100 builds on ISO 9001;2015 but adds extensive requirements specific to the aerospace, defense, and related industries which includes design, production, safety, configuration management, risk management, and supplier oversight.

By securing AS9100 certification, Pazmac is committing to aerospace OEMs and defense contractors that they are a supplier that not only follows quality best practices, but also meets domain-specific demands of traceability, risk control, change management, and more.

Pazmac is scheduled for an initial audit against AS9100 requirements on November 26, 2025. The certification audit will be conducted in January 2026 and the company expects to achieve AS9100 approval at that time.

The November audit will examine how well Pazmac’s current systems map into AS9100’s more rigorous clauses, including:

  • Enhanced risk management and “lessons learned” processes
  • Product safety controls and mitigation of latent defects
  • Strict configuration and change management practices
  • Heightened supplier performance monitoring and oversight
  • More demanding record-keeping and traceability for safety-critical parts

Pazmac’s successful ISO 9001:2015 recertification in September 2025 is not just a milestone, but a stepping stone toward achieving full AS9100 certification in early 2026. That progression marks a strategic investment in reputation, capability, and trust, particularly in sectors where even tiny deviations can carry high costs.

Stay tuned for updates as Pazmac move toward AS9100 certification in early 2026.
