A drawing may define exactly what needs to be manufactured. But is it the best way to manufacture it?
Design for Manufacturability (DFM) thinking allows our team to look for opportunities to simplify manufacturing, reduce unnecessary operations, improve consistency and potentially lower costs.
That doesn’t mean changing a customer’s design for the sake of making our job easier. It means asking: Is there an opportunity to make this part better to manufacture while still achieving everything the engineer needs it to accomplish?
Those conversations can be particularly valuable during new product development, prototyping or when an existing part has become difficult or expensive to source.
Tool #4: A Curated Ecosystem of Trusted Partners and Suppliers
What happens when successfully delivering a precision part requires capabilities beyond CNC machining? This is where Pazmac’s Business Toolbox becomes much bigger than our own facility.

- Are there opportunities to consolidate suppliers or processes?
- Can we reduce the procurement burden on the customer?
- Are there risks that should be identified before they affect delivery?
Looking at these issues early helps customers make better-informed decisions about their manufacturing programs.
Tool #6: Project Management
Complex manufacturing projects often involve far more than a machine and an operator. There may be engineering discussions, material suppliers, outside processes, inspection requirements, documentation, scheduling considerations and multiple stakeholders involved.
Someone needs to connect those pieces.
