Gas nitriding is an environmental friendly way to increase surface hardiness and fatigue strength in carbon based alloys, and is favoured for components that are subjected to heaving loading. Typical applications include gears, crankshafts, camshafts, valve parts, drive shafts and bearings. TOUGH, COST EFFICIENT PARTS
Pazmac is the only machine shop in BC to have a state-of-the-art gas nitriding system. Gas nitriding diffuses nitrogen from ammonia onto the surface of metals. With computer controlled software and quick loading and unloading, gas nitriding is very cost efficient, and keeps parts more stable during heat treatment, which results in parts that come out clean and ready for use. Gas nitriding also improves a parts resistance to scuffing, wear and galling.
